Mu Koh Ang Thong National Marine Park is in the gulf of Thailand, Surat Thani province. Just 21 miles west of Samui, this archipelago of 42 islands fits everyone's image of a tropical paradise, with its huge limestone rocks covered in virgin rainforest rising out of the aquamarine waters.
This lush and pristine marine park covers a total area of 102 sq.km, of which only 18 sq.km is land.
You can find fantastic viewpoints on Koh Wua Talap, a delightfully concealed lagoon on Koh Mae Ko, and an opportunity to paddle a sea kayak along the limestone formations.
You can visit this national marine park as a day trip from Koh Samui
